Speak Truth To Power!

Family and friends it’s extremely important to speak truth to power!

We must continue to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). As John Stott writes, ‘Truth becomes hard if it is not softened by love; love becomes soft if it is not strengthened by truth.’

Behind all of the confusion, injustice, chaos, hate, division and racism that our nation is experiencing is satan.

We fight satan and his minions through spiritual warfare and by using the Word of God to dismantle the stronghold of racism (2Corinthians 10:3-6: (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Racism is a stronghold in America (and the world) that is upheld by the spirits of pride, hate, lies, murder and division. These are all master spirits in satans kingdom.

Once we dismantle those spirits in the heavenlies God will give us earthly strategies to dismantle them on earth

(Matthew 6:10)

“May your Kingdom come soon.

May your will be done on earth,

as it is in heaven”.

First we have to acknowledge that racism exists. To deny that is like a heroin addict recovering from an overdose and declaring he/she doesn’t have a drug problem. To live in denial gives the enemy free reign to move about in darkness.

Secondly there is a need for honest dialogue. After the recorded death of George Floyd many churches and organizations started engaging in honest dialogue about systemic racism in America. Then the pandemic and diabolical denial pushed those conversations to the back burner. Those conversations were band-aids over a cancer - the flavor of the month.

Now our president is trying to systematically remove those conversations from government agencies, schools and even churches, blindly denying the existence of racism.

Our ancestors used to say, “a lie don’t care who tell it”.

Any relationship unless it is grounded in truth is doomed to fail because satan is the father of lies and the enemy of godly relationships. We have to confront racism with a spirit of tough love not denial.

(John 8:44)

“For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies”.

Thirdly take action! The body of Christ has many functions and we all play a part in the solution.

Pray AND fight, speak the truth, love, VOTE and keep speaking!

(Isaiah 58:1)

“Shout with the voice of a trumpet blast.

Shout aloud! Don’t be timid.

Tell my people Israel of their sins”!

“Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good”.
