What’s The Real Issue

Wow! It’s hard to believe that in a few weeks school will resume for the 21/22 school year.

This is after a year of adjusting to a stubborn pandemic that is tenaciously refusing to loosen it’s deadly grip.

Right now most school doors will open up for in person learning. Hallelujah!

Sadly the school year is starting with our nation embroiled in culture wars fueled by wedge issues such as masks, vaccines and Critical Race Theory. And our children are used as pawns in a political chess game where power is the goal irregardless of lives lost or minds warped.

Take Critical Race Theory for example. State Legislators are pushing to ban it as a curriculum in the K-12 schools. Some states have already succeeded.

I’m struggling to wrap my brain around the fact that CRT is not taught, never was taught and is not a curriculum offered to K-12th grade students. It’s mainly an elective course offered in law schools. So what’s the issue?

What’s underneath the rhetoric?

*Why spend time and money to ban something that isn’t a threat? What’s the REAL issue?

*Why side eye Black History now as divisive and link it to CRT when they are two different entities?

What’s the REAL issue?

*Why try to separate Black history from American history when they are interdependent? You can’t have one without the other.

What’s the REAL issue?

*If racism isn’t a problem why are we in denial about it’s existence and can’t critically with love discuss it?

What’s the REAL issue?

*What will it take to teach children to critically think about real issues and then give them the tools to discuss the issues without vitriolic name calling?

What’s the REAL issue?

I totally respect everyone’s viewpoint about any issue. And this post isn’t designed to divide.

My intent is to encourage everyone to understand and think about what the real issues are and who is behind the chaos.

After asking what is the real issue, ask what is the real agenda?

The REAL issue is in the spiritual realm. We are in an intense spiritual battle where hate, anarchy, lies, murder and discord are running rampant. Culture wars are becoming the norm and the enemy is trying to silence the Church.

(Ephesians 6:12-13 NLT)

“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm”.

The REAL agenda of the enemy is ALWAYS the same.

I challenged myself and I challenge you to pray and ask God where is your lane in this spiritual battle?

Then go a step further, after finding out where your lane is, “suit up, show up and refuse to shut up”!
